I very much doubt you will lose your Yorkshire ways and if you do and ever re-establish yourself up north again then they will come back thick and fast :)

I lived in London for 10 years when I was in my twenties and all my relatives thought I had cultivated a really posh accent. It soon went though..you should hear me now :))

Another great poem :yes;
I especially like the use of the Yorkshire dialect word 'sup' in the last verse and the thought of one 'filling one's boots' from Zeus's cup is titillating :)

I find heavy rain and dark clouds very calming and often use to put a big old coat and just walk anywhere because quite often there would be just a erie silence and the sound of the rain quite hypnotic.
I never quite get the same feeling driving the car but on the motorbike I felt much that same calm.
I will admit never to having walked in a thunder storm but in a car its quite a display as lighning forks across the sky.

I find with todays changing climate that distinct autumn feel has faded and today as I look down my garden its green all year round.(my willow sheds it leaves and thats about it)
Shame I miss the mounds of fallen leaves that built up in drain that I use to pile up with my friends in them childhood days.

It was lovely thanks!! Yeah, she didnt want to leave, Denmark is quite flat so i think it was nice for her to see some alternative landscapes.

Yeah i head back down south at the end of September, i'll miss Yorkshire, very much, but it will be nice to live by the sea again.

I'll tell her you liked it, she'll be very happy. She was lucky in getting someone who's done this kind of acting before to be in it, which she said made it run a lot smoother. It took a long time though, done by taking numerous photo's with a normal camera.

I'll have to have a look at those places in west yorks, i feel like i should explore the county more, there are some paces places in Yorkshire. Thanks for the pointers :)

I like the poem, it captures that time of half truths well. As for the depending on people, I'm sorry if you have felt let down by someone, but don't stop being yourself because of it.

remember next time though that there are lovely tourist spots in West Yorks too..e.g Bretton Sculpture park, The National Coal mining Museum near wakefield, Sandal Castle etc. etc.

Maybe you just need to live somewhere more latin/greek/mediterranean.

There's a lot of shouting and screaming over here LOL They call it talking and singing - but they ain't fooling me :))

Mountains are good places to 'let it all hang out' - the goats are good listeners.

Not sure if I was supposed to - but I enjoyed that piece of writing.
